The worst inner dialogue

I joke that I’m conquering my greatest fears by doing a style workout I don’t like but it’s actually no joke. When I reflect past my hilarity, I notice that I did conquer the negative self talk I was having. I found my self saying:

“This will be the worst” “I am not good at that” “There’s no way I’ll enjoy this”

I’m sure you have said the same about activities and events in your life too.

I had to purposefully change my inner dialogue to: “I can do hard things” “I have done this kind of the thing in the past, succeeded, and felt so good after” “I am in charge of what I do”

That kinda thinking got me in the gym and pushed me to do my best during this Explosive Cardio session. I’m now going to go about the rest of my day building a more empowering, kind and optimistic mindset.

When do you think changing your inner dialogue would help you most?
